Develop appropriate network strategy, service standards and performance indicators to achieve optimum level of service to the customers and operational efficiency. Review the route productivity and suggest measures to enhance passenger ridership. Organise necessary research to evaluate the passenger demand on the existing network as well as from new developments: this will include conducting field surveys and collection of data from various Authorities, Agencies and property developers. Advice on bus priority measures like Priority at traffic signals through special sequence phasing, Exclusive bus lanes, Contra-flow arrangement for buses, Reserve zones for buses, Free bus access to busy commercial area, Park n ride, BUS ONLY laybys etc. Assist in assessing the efficiency of current bus infrastructure such as bus depots, bus stations, bus terminals and bus stops and propose improvements/enhancements. Assist & advise during evaluation of requests for new and alternative service and service changes from the customers, developers, PTA staff and other stakeholders. Suggest effective methodology to monitor the performance of the bus network, evaluate deficiencies and propose solutions. Assist the Agency in efficient utilisation of resources including buses and manpower. Undertake reviews and investigations of operational and administrative matters and prepare reports as requested. Perform other responsibilities related to the position as appropriate. Skills Master in Business Administration from a recognized University. 10 years working experience in the public transport industry. Highly analytical thinking with demonstrated talent for identifying, scrutinizing, improving, and streamlining complex work processes. Computer-literate performer with extensive software proficiency covering wide variety of applications Exceptional listener and communicator who effectively conveys information verbally and in writing.
