Company Name: Star Services L L C Employment Type: Full Time Monthly Salary: Unspecified Minimum Work Experience: 2-5 Years Minimum Education Level: Bachelors Degree Listed By: Employer Career Level: Senior Description: Principal Functions (Major Areas of Responsibility): · Manages and directs the adoption of applicable industry standards and technologies in-line with the security department’s strategy and vision. · Researches, develops and maintains applicable security guidelines, best practices, services hardening guides and security requirements for all critical Etisalat technologies and services. · Plans and directs the development of actionable and relevant governance frameworks in agreement with other teams within the security department. · Engages with technology vendors and industry research providers to assess, determine and recommend security technologies that are applicable to the requirements of Etisalat services and products. · Drives the adoption of emerging security technologies and services for the security department. · Mentor, guide and coach reporting staff in researching methodologies, technology selection criterion and governance frameworks for the security department. · Ensure the effective management of stakeholders to align to security as well as engineering department’s vision and goals · Use in-depth knowledge of the security industry and technology best practices for decision making and selection criterion for technologies and frameworks · Become the trusted advisor for the security team on technologies and standards. · Communicate and align with the objectives and practices of other teams within the security department. Duties & Responsibilities : · Develops security frameworks, guidelines and best practices in consensus with other security teams within the department. · Leads the implementation and adoption of frameworks and best practice guidelines within the security department · Enhances and maintains established security guidelines and best practice frameworks for the security department. · Ensures requirements from Etisalat security policies are interpreted and incorporated into developed frameworks and security guidelines · Works with external standards and regulatory bodies in understanding and ensuring applicability and relevance of mandated and adopted practices · Liaises and communicates with the security assurance team and other stakeholders to ensure Etisalat infrastructure and services adhere to best practice guidelines and governance frameworks · Researches and recommends security technologies and vendors to security team for Etisalat services and products · Provides professional guidance and support to subordinates in carrying out the assigned functions. · Establishes and maintains Professional relations while communicating with stakeholders within the engineering department. · Manages monitors and evaluates the section’s on-going performance and quality of its output and services. · Maintains a coherent and effective established approach to guide, coach and mentor reporting staff. · Sets the objectives and vision of the section and ensures alignment to the Department’s and Etisalat’s vision and strategy. · Reports to management the progress, risks and issues of projects and ongoing activities in a timely and effective manner to clearly inform management of the department’s undertaking. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Telecommunications/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent Experience: 6-8 years in Network Security Development. Professional Training, Certification Mandatory - CISSP, ISO27001 Preferred - CRISC, CCNP, ITILv3
