Prepares quantity survey for FF&E requirements. Meets with vendors, suppliers and contractors. Review interior needs with suppliers to determine who can provide the best service. Prepares proposals for design work including sketches, mood image & material finishes. Prepares final designs and specifications within budgetary restrictions. Performs necessary drafting work for projects. Performs related work as required. Skills/qualifications: Considerable knowledge of the practices and principals of interior design & architecture. Considerable knowledge in design standards, building codes & restriction. Considerable knowledge of the preparation of proposals and specifications for interior design architecture work. Knowledge of drafting procedures. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with university personnel. Skill in designing interior alterations, renovations, and new layouts. Proficient in Design drafting software, 3D visualization tools, & adobe presentation software. ceiling materials finishes, paint colors,fixture & equipment selection. Proposals for design work are prepared with regard to budgetary restrictions and customer or user expectations. Driving license required
