This position is responsible for performing proper billing audit review/reconciliation, identifying clinical documentation issues, and liaising with the RCM team and clinical service areas to ensure accuracy of billing. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management or other related healthcare field is required. CCS coding certification strongly preferred Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in facility billing, processing and process review, medical record review and claims auditing experience is preferred. Knowledge of ICD 9, ICD 10, CPT4, HCPCS coding is required. Audit experience with a working knowledge of hospital or health insurance policies and procedures. Knowledge of medical terminologies, understanding the composition of medical record and the ability to read and interpret it is required. Knowledge of hospital's charging and reimbursement as well as HAAD adjudication rules. Good English communications skill. Excellent interpersonal skills and experience interacting with clinical teams and other revenue cycle departments. Key Outputs Execute simple audit to medium audit related to Quality assurance tasks Responsible for ensuring that all billing charges are reconciled with coding determinations in an appropriate manner via claims review/reconciliation. Provide support for processing improvement initiatives. Assist in documenting and updating QA business decision & policy and procedure, process, protocol and working instruction at request.
