System Administrator

Data Center Services (DCS) within our organization, is defined as the distributed, storage, IP network and Data Center services consumed by applications and enabling infrastructure in the Data Center. Data Center Services consolidates all logical and physical activities performed within the Data Center environment and most of Global Network Services and Distributed Technology Services. In the role of Data Center System Administrator your responsibilities will consist of: • Install, configure, and harden new & existing Windows Servers, along with other supporting Microsoft products / technologies and related 3rd-party applications • Maintain system performance through system monitoring and analysis; performance tuning; and troubleshooting of system hardware, software, networks, and operating system • Monitor all servers for performance issues and stability concerns and design and run system load/stress tests • Assist in the development, testing, evaluation, and installation of new software and enhancements • Administer users and hosting accounts and work with IIS on a daily basis to support customers and ensure maximum uptime • Set up and provision new instances of the company's product line for new and existing customers • Develop and maintain documentation and operating procedures and policies • Active Directory Administration and Group Policies • Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008 R2 administration and troubleshooting • Experience and full understanding of DNS/DHCP/WINS and TCP/IP • Windows Vista/7 Troubleshooting • Active Directory Administration and Group Policies • Excellent documentation and communication abilities – especially the ability to express technical knowledge in layman terms as well as communicate rules, procedures and basic technical information clearly and accurately both orally and in writing. Desired Candidate Profile • 5+ years of network administration experience • Routing, IDS, L2/L3 switching, VPN, HTTPS, DNS / SMTP, EqualLogic SAN (replication & disaster recovery) • IIS (7 / 8) management & administration, including web farms, caching, and load balancing services • Security installation & administration experience, including anti-virus/malware, firewalls, ACL, and account & password policy
