Purchase officer

1. Receiving material requests from the site engineer & coordinating with the site engineer on the requirement of material at site & collection of the specifications for the requested material. 2. Negotiate pricing contracts with subcontractors and suppliers 3. Preparing LPOs and sending it to the suppliers by e- mail or Fax and follow up the status of material vigorously to ensure timely delivery of materials at Site. 4. Interact with the Finance & Accounts department for the release of payment of the suppliers after receiving confirmed delivery orders at site from the site Engineer. 5. Maintain complete updated Purchasing records data for each project in the System. 6. Meet subcontractors and suppliers on-site as necessary 7. Research new materials for design and cost savings 8. Develop and implement new purchasing strategies to deliver ongoing cost reductions and process simplification 9. Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers 10. Establish new relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure adequate resources for all projects and to continually improve pricing and quality of work 11. Assist in ensuring awareness and company compliance to all building codes and local construction guidelines 12. Leverage technology, safety measures, and information sharing to increase productivity and profitability 13. Assist in settling invoice or contract disputes 14. Maintain sub/supplier information on company online management systems 15. Obtain quotation and negotiate for the best price and prompt delivery. 16. Coordinate warranty claims and service requests. 17. Facilitate the accreditation of new suppliers. 18. Monitor and address supplier delivery performance. 19. Successfully negotiate contracts in total cost reduction effort, establishing master purchase agreements and strategic alliances with domestic and international suppliers 20. Manage materials/equipment inventory.
