Through this division, Al-Futtaim Engineering is approved by Dubai Civil Defense to carry out the design, installation and maintenance of fire protection and detection systems. With an experienced leadership team of managers supported by qualified and experienced engineers and technicians, the life safety division can handle the most demanding fire protection projects and maintenance requirements, to deliver high quality work on time About the role: An exciting opportunity is opened for an experienced Project Engineer within the Fire Fighting and Fire Alarm System division ofAl Futtaim Engineering.As a part of the Controls & Life Safety team you will be responsible for but not limited to preparation of method of statements / ITP’s / RA’s / check lists. Reviewing the design drawings / specifications / contracts. Preparation of as built / OM’s / handing over documents. Co-ordinating with the main contractor & client. Attending the technical / progress meetings. Handling the daily activities of site. Monitor the progress of the installations closely. Collect consultant approval for the executed works. Preparation of handing over documents. Attending the authorities’ inspections. Collection of the client taking over final certificate. Your role will be based in Dubai. About you: To be considered for this exciting role, you should have a Bachelor’s Degree specialised in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / MechanicalEngineering.Project management certification is an asset. Dubai Civil Defense license/certification is a mandate. You should have minimum 3+ years of relevant technical hands on experience infire fighting / fire alarm projects, with minimum 1 years of experience in U.A.E.Ideally have knowledge/experience about middle east market environment. Experience of working in a multinational and multicultural environment is an asset. Hands on experience & excellent knowledge on FIDIC is must. Good knowledge of National Fire Protection Associationand UAE fire codes.Advanced knowledge of project management processes, means and methods.Competent in conflict and crisis management.Problem solving skills, multitasking ability, team working abilities and good verbal and written communication. Able to act independently and to coordinate the work of others on a job site. Experience in supplying contracts to major clients. Strong negotiation abilities. Excellent problem solving & decision making abilities.Leadership and human resources management skills - maintain relationships with all team members to ensure the participants consider they have actively contributed to the project’s success. Along with previous experience you must have a strong work ethic, competitive drive and entrepreneurial spirit. Strong knowledge of MS office.Knowledge of MS Project/Primavera.Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, both written and verbal.
