Logistics company based in Dubai is looking for a Chief Accountant. Applicant must have strong communication skills with excellent English and Russian proficiency. Key Responsibilities:  - Responsibility for developing, implementing, and administrating accounting policies. - Manage all internal accounting and financial reporting functions. - Management of general ledger and all entries and account reconciliations. - Cash management and accounting, reconciliations & monthly cash flow report. - Manages accounts payable and receivable. - Work closely with auditors in Singapore for consolidation of accounts. - Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS) and company procedures. - Assures compliance with policies, regulations and laws. - Determines proper handling of financial transactions and approves transactions within designated limits. - Compiles and analyses financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts, cost centers and documents business transactions. - Responsible for distributing financial statements and cost center reports. - Prepares work papers and supporting schedules for the annual financial review. - Control Letter of Credits and liase with bank for all needed documentation. - Prepares financial statements and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position. - Analyse transactional processes and identify areas where additional accuracies and efficiencies can be achieved. - Closely maintains and monitors the fixed assets system. - Assist with annual budgets – prepares all allocations. - Responsible for annual closing process and reconciliation of general ledger accounts. - Develop and implement various accounting procedures. - Preparation of the monthly statutory accounts and consolidated financial statements as required by authorities - Work with both internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits. - Maintain system of accounts and keep records on all company transactions and assets. - Report, analyse, and ensure integrity of all financial information. - Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Manager. Essential characteristics: - Russian speakers only. - At least 4-7 years of experience. - Experience working in a logistics business. - Exceptional communication skills. - Relevant experience in audit and costing is advantageous. - Good MS Office skills particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel. - Able to work independently and highly meticulous. - Strong analytical skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization. - Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses. - Proficiency in computer and use of Microsoft Office applications.
