This person is responsible for creating an end-to-end test plan; executing the plan and managing all activities in the plan to ensure that all the objectives are met and that the solution works as expected. The solution should be tested in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, stability and compatibility with other legacy- and / or external systems. To make sure that testing is well defined, planned and executed. The analyst does this by ensuring that every phase and feature of the software solution is tested and that any potential issue is identified and fixed before the product goes live. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities • Devise and establish company's quality procedures, standards and specifications. • Review customer requirements and make sure they are met. • Develop and document application test plans based on software requirements and technical specifications. • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved • Detect software failures so that defects may be discovered and corrected. • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements • Create meaningful error handling procedures for application code. • Monitor debugging process results • Ensure compliance with general programming best practices and accepted web standards. • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies Education and Experience • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any related degree is preferable. • Quality inspection, auditing and testing experience • Must have knowledge of automated testing tools.
